- Please double-check that your gift fulfills your recipient's request. That means it includes: a fandom, a ship or character, a kink, and an archive warning they requested, in the medium they requested.

- Please double-check that your gift is complete and fulfills the overall exchange requirements -- for fic, is it 1000+ words long, at least 500 of those words being a sex scene? For art, is it finished and clearly smutty?

- There will be no extensions. Even if you have a super super super good reason, we will just awkwardly say "no" to your email, to be fair to everyone else we've said no to. If you're not sure of the time zone or your availability on the deadline, you can always submit your work early.

This is normally the part where a mod would say "if your username starts with a particular letter, check your email." But you know what, I think it's worthwhile for everyone to confirm the email associated with their AO3 account. So, everyone should check. Is it an email you can access? Is it an education or government email with your real name that you don't actually want exchange mods to know?

General Notes
- There is a known bug that not all tags autocomplete in AO3’s dropdowns. Copy/paste these directly from the tag set, and they should go through.

- Matching is OR. That means you’ll match on one request, and one ship, medium, kink, and archive warning within that request.

- Since there are a lot of factors to match on, it can be helpful to check requests near the end of signups to make sure you’re matchable as a creator. If you have no possible recipients at the end of signups, we will email you with the choice to either add offers or delete your signup.

- If you were a no-show default last year or if we contacted you about an incomplete placeholder after the deadline, you are not eligible to sign up for this year's event. (If you hit the default button yourself prior to the deadline, you're fine!)

Hello! Nominations proceed apace. We have some reminders and clarifications.

General Kink Tags Note
Kink tags should be kinks, sex acts, or otherwise clearly sexual in nature. They should also be a fairly straightforward element to include in a fanwork -- Smu4Smut freeforms aren't intended for multi-step prompt directions. If you're trying to fit "Characters do X, then Y, then Z, while ABC happens" in a tag, consider including that as an optional details prompt instead.

Also, if you nominated kink tags in the first few hours after nominations opened, you may need to re-nominate them. We had to clear nominations to allow previous participants to nominate this year.

General "Any" Note
We're accepting "Specific Character/Any Character" type tags, but want to remind nominators that we will interpret that tag extremely literally within that fandom. If you request Lyney/Any Character (Genshin Impact), you can't Do Not Want incest, because "any character" would include Lynette or Freminet.

General Formatting Note
Please alphabetize your ship nominations, and please check whether the fandom is already in the tag set with a particular disambiguation.

"this tag already exists as character"
If you have to nominate a ship tag in a weird format because the correct format already exists as a character... please let us know so we don't try to fix it and then hit the error ourselves.
