Tag Reminders
- "optional tags" are NOT any more optional than other requested kinks. We can't rename that field on AO3, but "optional tags" are just a space to include extra "additional tags" (kink freeforms). The matching algorithm will treat these exactly the same.

- "optional tags" must therefore be kinks from the tag set. We will remove any incorrect tags after signups close.

- Fandom and ship requests must also be from the tag set. Please don't prompt exclusively for ships you didn't/can't request.

DNW Reminders
- Do Not Wants must be in the AO3 signup form itself to be enforced. "Enforced" means that if your gift accidentally contains one of these DNWs, we will get you a replacement gift if you request one. Creators are still expected to put their best effort into avoiding letter-only DNWs.

- "DNW PWP" and "DNW unrequested kinks" cannot be enforced, please do not list these.

Matching Reminders
- Matching is OR on all fields. That means your creator could match on any combination you request. Saying something like "These kinks are for XY ship and those kinks are for AB ship" in the same request does not work with this matching system. Split the tags/ships into separate requests if you need to.

- This also means you're only guaranteed one requested freeform tag.

- If you aren't requesting and offering three unique fandoms when signups close, we will delete your signup without warning.

- Please take time to see if you currently have someone you could create for -- we will contact unmatchable creators after signups close, but checking ahead will save us some time and let us get assignments out faster.

• RPF nominations must be for famous people 18 years old or older. Non-famous relatives or associates of famous people are not allowed.

• Original works nominations should be split by relationship category. Nominate under "Original F/F", "Original F/M", "Original M/M", and "Original Other or Solo".
  
• The kink list will get reused each year, with some editing. Please no fandom-specific kink tags.

Notes on original works:
Same-gender groups should go under F/F or M/M.
Mixed-gender groups (for example, F/M/M, F+/M) should go under F/M.

If the genders in your tag are ambiguous, try to include the ship configuration at the end of the tag -- (M/M), (F/F), (F/F/M), etc. This will help us put tags in the correct place if they wander!

Notes on franchises:
Please avoid nominating fandoms as “All Media Types.”

Nominate closely-linked canons of the same media type under the umbrella name -- for example, Marvel Cinematic Universe instead of individual movies, and Star Wars Cinematic Universe instead of separating the prequel and sequel movies.

We may combine equivalent-but-differently-phrased kink tags -- if you think we’ve changed something incorrectly, please let us know!
