General Notes
- There is a known bug that not all tags autocomplete in AO3’s dropdowns. Copy/paste these directly from the tag set, and they should go through.
- Matching is OR. That means you’ll match on one request, and one ship, medium, kink, and archive warning within that request.
- Since there are a lot of factors to match on, it can be helpful to check requests near the end of signups to make sure you’re matchable as a creator. If you have no possible recipients at the end of signups, we will email you with the choice to either add offers or delete your signup.
- If you were a no-show default last year or if we contacted you about an incomplete placeholder after the deadline, you are not eligible to sign up for this year's event. (If you hit the default button yourself prior to the deadline, you're fine!)
- We will not accommodate "do not match me as a creator" requests. Please adjust your own offers accordingly.
Emails
Make sure the email attached to your AO3 account is one that 1) you check regularly, and 2) are comfortable with exchange mods seeing. You can verify your email here: archiveofourown.org/users/[your ao3 name here]/change_email

Requests
Fandoms: You can request 3-10 fandoms. Three of those fandoms must be unique. After that, you can request fandoms multiple times with different ships/kinks/etc. Signups without three unique fandoms will be deleted after signups close.
Character: The “character” field is for selecting Fanart, Fanfic, or both.
Relationships: Each request can have 1-20 ships or solo characters. You’re only guaranteed to receive one of the ship or solo tags you request.
Additional Tags: You must request 4-20 kinks under Additional Tags.
You’re guaranteed to receive one of the kinks you request. Please make sure you’d be happy to receive any of your requested kinks with any of the ship tags in that request!
Archive Warnings: The archive warnings you request are topics you want to see in your gift. If you select “graphic violence,” that means you want to receive graphic violence. You are only guaranteed ONE of the archive warnings you've selected, so if you select “graphic violence” and “rape/noncon,” you might get a gift with graphic violence, or rape/noncon, or both.
Note: not selecting an archive warning is NOT the same as opting out of receiving it. You are guaranteed a gift containing a selected warning; you are NOT guaranteed a gift without unselected warnings. If you do not want to receive e.g. noncon, please make sure noncon is in your Do Not Wants.
Optional Details: You can add prompts and likes here, as well as Do Not Wants. All Do Not Wants must be included in this field, and clearly labeled, in order for mods to enforce them if necessary.
Don't use your DNWs to try to force your creator to create a specific type of work (beyond the specifics they matched on). In general, don’t use your optional details to require something you didn’t match on -- for example, if you requested ships A/B and X/Y in the same request slot with kinks 1-17, you can’t specify that kinks 1-3 are only for A/B while kinks 4-17 are only for X/Y.
We consider the following DNWs too broad and limiting for this exchange:
- "DNW unrequested kinks"
- "DNW PWP"
- "DNW sex"
Letter: You can link to an off-AO3 letter with your prompts and preferences if you like. Please try to have your letter finished and accessible by the time assignments go out.
